  • Welcome customers to the massage studio
  • Consult with customers about their medical histories and any issues with stress and/or pain in order to determine whether massage would be helpful
  • Perform client consultations and take detailed notes about their needs and existing conditions to determine if massage therapy will be helpful for them
  • Conduct client evaluations to check for painful or tense areas of the body
  • Take SOAP notes
  • Recommend services and treatments
  • Perform soft-tissue, facial and scalp massages

Massage Therapist Qualifications

 

  • Massage Therapist or Registered Massage Therapist license as required by the state
  • A high school diploma or equivalent

  • A minimum of 6+ months of on-the-job experience as a Massage therapist
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
